Compositing
Techniques for compositing CG elements, removing artifacts, and achieving realistic integration.
Remove Banding
To get rid of banding, use a color depth of at least 16 bits per channel and render at a high bitrate when encoding your video.
You can also use color noise (in color mode) on top of the footage. Decrease the saturation a bit to make it less noticeable.

Integration Tips
To integrate elements better with their background, create a mask of the element, apply it to a duplicate of the background, and lay it over the element with a blend mode of your choice.
The Secret Ingredients
Never forget to add some of the elements from a real photo/video to sell the shot:
- Noise
- Chromatic aberration
- Blur / Bokeh
- Vignetting
